Nursing School
Whoo --HOO (I Think)
I was offered a spot in the LPN program!!! Starting July 12, 2010....I feel really honored and Blessed about this. It is really hard to get in on the first try after you finish the core classes. I have heard of many that have to reapply next quarter. And others that have tried to get in a couple of times and have not made it.
So daughter #1 having a baby in Sept. daughter #2 planning a wedding in Jan. and myself starting this program which is full time next month. Lots of exciting things going on !!

Spring
It is beautiful spring weather here in Georgia, and I love it. The temperature is just right for me not to hot and not to cold.
We had a great vacation. Hawaii is beautiful. I enjoyed our time there, my greatest accomplishment was climbing Diamond Head. After Hawaii we were off to Australia to see Jessica. Enjoyed our time with her, and enjoyed seeing where she lives, the Church where she attends and teaches. Thankful I was able to visit Australia but would not really care for a return trip. The plane ride is just tooooooooo long!!!
So a report on being Fabulous Fifty. As I go from the beginning of year 56 Thur the middle of 56 toward 57. I feel about the same, but some of the body parts are changing. Most noticeable to me is my vision, I need my glasses ANY time I read anything or work on the computer. Next, I see more, I guess you call then lines above my upper lip. Last but not least my upper arms do not look firm any more and the grandma flab below them is starting to show. Maybe to much Information, but using this as my way to remember what happened when....
My daughter is going to have a baby!!!!! A boy!!! so excited!!!!!
My brother is about the same physically since his stroke. Still hoping and praying for improvement in his condition. I thank the Lord for the strength he gives to us!!!!!!!!

New year
Hi, Sitting here watching to see if the Tsunami is going to hit Hawaii ?Good news we have plans to visit there March 20th and then to visit daughter in Australia. Bad news might not be a great thing to go. We are having some strange things going on in our world. So sorry for Chili with the earthquake.
My life has pretty much been getting my brother taken care of. He was in hospital for 2 months and now been in the nursing home for a month. Trying to get SSI started and medicaid. Bunch of paper work. He has started Physical Therapy and is a little better, but still paralyzed on his left side. Any advise would be appreciated..
Our son had to come home from college, the work load was just to much for him, at least he made it 1 semester and enjoyed it!! Guess our empty nest if not empty anymore. We will adjust again. And that is my life for now :)

HOLIDAYS
So where was I? Had my 56th birthday and survived it rather well.
Had a good Thanksgivings with kids and grandkids. About 9 pm that night, received a call that my 58 year old brother had a stroke. It is soooo sad, my emotion are off the chart these days. He has no use of his left side. At this point about all he can do is feed himself. Mental he seem ok, most of the time. He has no wife, children. My sister and I are it. Please Pray for him and myself also to have the strength and wisdom to know what to do.
The good news is I passed my math for meds class with a B, and also anatomy with an A. I am finished with my core classes. Praying about trying to get it the LPN program in the summer.
Also had a good Christmas. Hope you all are doing well. Any advice, encouragment, prayer are appreciated..........Happy New Year

So Bad
Hi, I am so BAD at keeping this blog updated. All is well here, adjusting to life with grown kids, which is nice :). Going to school and having major projects going on around house.
I will be having my 56th birthday on sat. Oct. 31st. Wow time just went on by.
